The bodies can be of 4 types:

Solid Body

solid body

These bodies, as the name suggests, only have bushes for housing the handle, bridge and electronics (pickup, tone and volume controls, jack and wiring). Most of the electric guitars on the market have this type of construction.

Lightened

lightened body

Body constructed with so many small resonance chambers. Above the body is pasted the top that will be carved or plan according to the chosen model. The instrument will be lighter (up to 25%), the tone will be brighter, open and more sustained than a solid body.

Chambered

chambered body

These bodies, depending on the model, have 1 to 3 resonant chambers. Above the body is glued the top that will be carved or plan according to the chosen model. The instrument will be much lighter (up to 35%) while the tone will be much brighter, more sustained and more "acoustic" than a solid body body and a lightweight body.

Chambered + F-hole

chambered body F hole

These bodies are built exactly like those with resonance chambers, the only difference being the classic F-opening at the top. The lightness and resonance characteristics are similar but the tone, especially unplugged, will be significantly more acoustic.
