To have the same look and finish of the instrument top it is possible to paste a veneer on the hearstock, this will only have an aesthetic appearance and the influence on the sound will be totally insignificant.

It is possible to choose all wood available for the top.

If the choice is the same as the top, the wood used will be taken from the same blank.
