On all the tools you can mount the pickguard in different colors.

If you choose not to install this component, the control cavity will be placed at the back of the body. Additionally, the pickups will be screwed directly onto the body (direct mount) instead of being attached to the pickguard.

Pickups are screwed on the pickup. On the back there is no control cavity, so to access the electronics you have to remove the pickguard.

The pickups are screwed directly onto the body of the instrument. On the back there is a control cavity for easy access to electronics.
